Ezry’s 14th birthday was a mix of relaxing, adventure, and lots of cake. We rented a pontoon boat and set sail from the Dana hotel in San Diego. We spent half the day in the bay, tooling around, eating cheetos, and pushing the boat rental to its speed limits.
We let Ezry drive the boat a little bit. She did great! Though did get side-eyed by the bay cops a few times, worth it.
The big gift this year was boxing lessons at a local MMA gym! Really hope she gets to use them with Covid and all. No one was wearing face masks in there. If it all goes sounth, we’ll get the kid a punching bag.
